Soul Tree Care provides tree service in Stratham, NH, from our base in Dover, with tree removal, tree trimming and pruning, emergency storm response and tree assessments.
Stratham’s town website explains that the state Shoreland Protection Act sets minimum standards for shorelands within 250 feet of the state’s larger water bodies. In the first 50 feet from the water’s edge, trees are managed on a points system, and cutting is allowed only if the remaining trees and saplings total 50 points or more. Stratham also has a local Shoreland Protection District, adopted in 1985, that bars any disturbance or structure within 150 feet of tidal waters and 100 feet of perennial streams.
If a tree is near the water, check with the Stratham Conservation Commission and the NH Department of Environmental Services before cutting. Details are on the Town of Stratham shoreland page. This is general information, not legal advice.
Our services include tree removal, tree trimming and pruning, emergency and storm damage response, and tree assessments.
